Miracles reveal the nature of God because He is super-natural. There is no limitation in Him. My experience with miracles is that the reality of who God was became the elephant in the room of my life. He could not be ignored. His goodness pushed into the proximity of my doubts and shaky ideas about who He was. God’s character becomes real through seeing the miraculous.
Actions speak louder than words. Seeing God in action makes all the words we would try to use in giving description to Him rather small. I don’t have words for the Grand Canyon - not the right words to convey to anyone how grand that canyon really is. Such is the Father’s miraculous power - without experiencing it it is impossible to quantify. I can’t impart to you a knowledge of the Grand Canyon until you see it. Then we just stand there together in adoration and wonder about how big and deep and wide this thing really is. Then we start wanting to explore it. We plan a day trip into it. Quickly we realize this thing is way bigger than we realized - and that’s when we thought we knew how big it really was. Experience is the great communicator. It teaches us through the senses God made for us. He is bigger than any one of them and wants to set them all on fire with the reality of His true nature.
"Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good;
Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!" Psalms 34:8 NKJV
